Peru offers various trekking options, and the most popular treks to Machu Picchu are the Inca Trail, Salkantay, Lares, and Inca Quarry trails. Each route requires careful logistics, as each one has different staff, including guides, trekking cooks, porters, muleteers, and horses.

When traveling with a small or large group with Inca Trail Machu, our operations department prepares the logistics for personnel, camping equipment, and entry permits. This ensures that the entire operation runs smoothly with highly qualified staff and quality camping gear.

Throughout the operations of the Inca Trail group or alternative routes to Machu Picchu, we prioritize key staff members to ensure you complete your treks without any issues. The operations department, led by Milagros Valery Toledo (Founder), carefully selects the best guides, cooks, and porters or muleteers. She verifies and supervises that all operations start with qualified guides, trained cooks, and competent porters. Our staff receives annual training in first aid and customer service, as well as emergency training for high-altitude situations. Our cooks also receive training in food handling and preparation using natural products sourced from the Andes.

Additionally, our logistics are managed by Luz Clarita Soncco, who communicates in Quechua. She can connect with our cooks, porters, and muleteers in their native language. She is also responsible for ensuring that all camping equipment, including tents, tables, chairs, utensils, and other gear, is in perfect condition for the journey. Our sleeping bags and other sleeping gear are kept clean and collected from the local laundry service that Inca Trail Machu cooperates with.
