Hike to Huchuy Picchu Mountain
Inca Trail Machu

Huchuy Picchu, behind Machu Picchu, is the simplest alternative to climbing Huayna Picchu. It's the last option on the list; in fact, it is not a true alternative but rather something like a consolation prize. Huchuy Picchu is the smallest peak in Machu Picchu and is located right next to Huayna Picchu. You can only climb this mountain with valid tickets to enter the Huayna Picchu mountain. The difference is that it is very small, the hike is much shorter, and it is not particularly challenging.

Most people go directly to Huayna Picchu and they no longer have time or energy to travel this small mountain as well. But don't make this mistake. If you already have in your possession one of the 400 tickets available Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu and some extra time. Huchuy Picchu will offer you a vision of Machu Picchu, from a totally different angle from the usual ones, but much closer to its buildings. You will get beautiful and very rare photos of Machu Picchu. The difficulty is moderate.

Choose the Huayna Picchu schedule that you prefer but remember that you must buy the ticket three months in advance.
