Machu Picchu Tickets 2023 Official Site

Machu Picchu is a well-known and worth-visiting Inca site because it represents the Inca civilization's most impressive expressions of architecture and engineering. Their structures are a perfect balance between nature and the genius knowledge of the Andean indigenous people.

Do you want to buy your Machu Picchu tickets in advance? But you don’t know how? Keep reading! Down below we will tell you everything about how to obtain your Machu Picchu tickets for 2023 on the Official Site and give you some basic tips so that nothing will take you by surprise.

Peru's government has loaded a new website for booking Machu Picchu entrance tickets in 2023 but it appears they have deleted the morning and afternoon admission ticket options and replaced them with an hourly entry time, the entry tickets are only valid for the schedules selected by you, from 6:00 am to 14:00. Once you choose the time to visit Machu Picchu, you can't change the schedule or arrive late at the Machu Picchu gate. We recommend you to be 20 min before the selected entry time.

If you have any issues arriving early in Machu Picchu, we recommend that you contact the Ministry of Culture in Machupicchu town and they can help you to get a new Machupicchu ticket with a different entry time.

The Peruvian government has increased the number of visitors to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, but this availability is not enough for all travelers visiting the Inca town this year. Since many travelers cannot enter the site due to a lack of tickets, Inca Trail Machu recommends booking in advance because the number of national and foreign visitors has been increasing in Peru.

There are only 4550 available spots every day and divided into 8 schedules to enter the site from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, each schedule of 120 tickets is available to visit Machu Picchu. If you need help booking the tickets, contact us by email at info@incatrailmachu.com or clicking on the following link: Buy Machu Picchu tickets 2023.

How to get your Machu Picchu tickets?

How to buy Machu Picchu tickets 2023 throught the New Official Site

The general idea for the new hourly entry times is to distribute visitors to avoid congestion mainly in the early morning. There's no intention to rigidly adhere to entering at the exact time of your ticket. You can enter anytime after the hour stamped on your ticket. But you cannot enter even 1 minute earlier than the time on your ticket. You can enter any time after the time of your ticket up to 12N for morning tickets. And use your tickets for entry after 12 noon, no later than 3PM.

Some websites are saying that the tickets are only good for one hour inside the ruins. That is simply not true. The hourly entry affects the time you enter not how long you stay. A normal guided tour can be 2-3 hours. Once you exit, you cannot re-enter.

Best trek & tours to Machu Picchu

During your visit to Machu Picchu, you can choose between a variety of tours. These range from a full-day excursion to Inca Trail through the Sacred Valley of the Incas or Machu Picchu tours from Cusco. The multi-day tours can be combined with climbing of the Huayna Picchu mountain or the Rainbow Mountain, a trek through the Andes villages with living traditions. If the classic trail is sold out, the best hiking option is the short Inca Trail, this trail is part of the Inca path. There are also alternative treks to Machu Picchu, such as Salkantay Trek, Lares trek, Inca Quarry or Huchuyqosqo Trek. There are no limits to your thirst for adventure to Machu Picchu!
