Inca Trail Machu

After we pick you up at your hotel, we will start our adventure to the Humantay Lake with a 4-hour-drive in private transport to Soraypampa (3850 m.a.s.l.). In Soraypampa we will have a delicious breakfast to start our day well before beginning our trek. At 09.30, we start our trek up to the Humantay Lake (4200 m.a.s.l.) with beautiful views and if the sky is clear enough, we can see the impressive Salkantay and Humantay mountains. It is a 1.5-hour-walk to the lake with a low to moderate difficulty, and more than worth it when you see the magical view. It is also possible to rent a horse instead. We will have enough time to take pictures, bring an offer to the andean gods. After some free time, we will start our descent to Soraypampa of about 1.5 hours, which is a lot easier than the way up. In Soraypampa lunch will await us and after some rest we return to Cusco where we will arrive at 6 p.m.

From the city of Cusco we will transfer by bus to the village Mollepata where we will have a delicious breakfast, then continue with the trip until we reach Soraypampa, where we will have a short break, and then start with our walk of 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Laguna Humantay that is located at 4200 meters above sea level (Those who do not wish to walk can rent a horse at the beginning of the walk). On the way we can appreciate the impressive snowy Salkantay and Humantay. Once we arrive at Laguna Humantay we will have free time to take pictures or relax. After our visit we will start the way back to Soraypampa, where our bus will be waiting for us to go to Mollepata where we will have our lunch, then we will return to Cusco arriving approximately 6:00 p.m.

Very early in the morning we will embark you a journey of 2 and a half hours from the city of Cusco to the town of Mollepata, this time is enough to enjoy the Andean landscape and the warm valleys that bring so much harmony. In this town we can enjoy a breakfast, since you will return to the bus to travel to the community of Soraypampa.

The Manu Biosphere Reserve is located in the southwestern part of Peru, encompassing territories of the regions of Madre de Dios and Cusco destined for recreational activities, anthropological and biological research, limited to observing wildlife in its natural form. The rainy season or low season goes from January to March, but during the whole year there may be unexpected rains; the temperatures in the low zones vary between 35 ºC during the day and 25 ºC during the night.
